Rediscovering the Obvious

…stumbling in the footsteps of greatness

Chopsticks for baby!

without comments

We found out that my in-laws would be about three hours late for dinner today (Christmas day)… so we did what any self-respecting family would do and put dinner on hold and headed out for Chinese to hold us over. We headed to Hunan, where Stanley whips up the best sauces in Indianapolis and Amy serves them with a smile and a great memory for names. The most wonderful thing about tonight, however, is that Elle didn’t bat an eye at eating from chopsticks. She loved the rice, the rice noodles, and after an initial moment of confusion at the spicy sauce, she liked that too. I can’t wait until she has opposing teeth and can try the meat, too. But, it seems to be a sure thing that my child will follow in my (and my wife’s) footsteps as far as food selection goes.

If you’re in town, EAT AT HUNAN… then stop by and say hi to us.
